Sathya Sai Baba
Who is Sai Baba Sai Baba was born on the 23rd of November 1926 in Puttaparthi, a little village in the State of Andhra Pradesh, in the South of India. Since early childhood, He declared: “ Education combined with the development of character, preservation of good health, fulfilment of the primary needs of man, are rights granted by God to all humanity without distinction of social class, race or creed.” “ There is only one religion, the religion of Love. There is only one caste, the caste of Humanity. There is only one language, the language of the Heart. There is only one God, He is omnipresent.” Nations are many but the Earth is one, jewels are many but gold is one, stars are many but the sky is one, bodies are many but one is the air we breathe.”
His Mission Sai Baba does not belong to any religion and does not propagate any. His mission, though recognizing the validity of all religious traditions, goes beyond all religions,as it is intended to indicate to man the road that leads to the understanding of his true Divine Nature, respecting the universal spiritual teachings common to all religions. Sai Baba does not expect followers to worship him. He recommends worshipping God in the form that each one is attracted to in the context of his/her own education and culture. The process goes on until the searcher goes beyond religion in favour of spirituality, thus passing from an external search to an internal search. “I have come to light the lamp of love in your hearts, to see that it shines day by day with added lustre. I have not come to speak on behalf of any particular spiritual practise or Indian philosophy. I have not come on any mission of publicity for any sect, creed or cause, nor have I come to collect followers for any doctrine. I have no plans to attract disciples or devotees, in to my fold or any fold. I have come to tell you of this Universal Faith, of this Divine Consciousness, of this path of Love, of this philosophy of Love, of this duty of Love.”
